Edge of Nowhere (OCULUS)

As a launch title for Oculus Rift, Oculus Studios and Insomniac Games developed a 3rd person Survival Horror adventure where the player felt part of the game by controlling the camera with head movement.

This Lovecraftian adventure was set in the 1920-30s as an explorer in the remote Antarctica. The Ui in the game needed to feel handcrafted as a travel diary and tactile as any paraphernalia of the time would look.

I worked on early concepts and implementations for various UI pieces and effects that helped set the tone and approach to visual design for the final game.
